The United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) provides leadership for population activities in developing countries.
Present in Senegal since 1975, UNFPA started its activities through projects of national importance and then by five-year program cycles consistent. UNFPA is currently supporting the Senegalese Government in achieving its objectives on population and development through its fifth assistance program covering the period 2002-2006.
